The town has a rule about which graves are not disturbed, and nobody under fifty remembers why. When the rule is broken for an ordinary reason - a road, a deadline, a permit that came through - the answer arrives in the order the town least wanted it.

Production notes
The research is the slow part. The material sits inside a living community practice rather than an archive, which means the location work and the permission work are the same conversation, and it is not one that can be rushed to fit a schedule.
